yay!!! I passed my driver's test!!!!!!!!!?

The test was yesterday and I passed so I have $4,000 to buy a car and my parents are willing to pay $4,000 more. I'm 18 years old, a senior in high school, the most responsible person in my household, smart, got a 1900 on my SAT the first time but then got a 2200 the second time, and not a wild teen. I think I'm a good daughter. What is a good car for a teenager that's hott but reliable?

If this helps my dad drives a 2004 Nissan Sentra (new) and my stepmom drives an 2007 Infiniti G35 (new). Lately I've been using my step mom's car a lot so my parents want me to get my own now.
My parents said I can get a new car if it's under $12,000 but there aren't many cars you can buy for $12,000. Nowadays a Honda Civic costs $16,000!
so I'm getting a used car.
StEvE O: what are you talking about?? answer if you're going to help, not if you wanna act like a bastard.
i'm thinking about a 2006 Nissan Altima.

Statistics say…..most accidents are caused by 18 – 22 year olds who have recently passed their driving tests…..I suggest getting a very cheap car until you have more experience on the road.

    Try a 2004 Chrysler sebring. Here's a pic:

You can guaranteed find one for under 8,000 with low miles in your classifieds.

    A 2005 VW Jetta:

    a 2005 Chevy HHR:

Or lastly, a 2005 Chevy Cobalt SS Supercharged. A Honda Civic Alernative-but less expensive with the new ones at 13,790 (the 2005's have to be around 9,000 bucks) and 35 MPG:

    Congrats and Good Luck.

Sorry, I have to agree with STEVE O on this one.. it sounds like you're just trying to brag that you're daddy is going to buy you a $12,000 dollar car. How much did he have to pay the DMV to let you "pass" the test?
