When you go to take your driver's test to get your license, do you have to make an appointment beforehand?

Nope. Stand in line at the DMV forever and wait your turn. Thats the way i did it.

    yes,
but most DMVS won't let you make the appointment till about a month before the date.
you can go online or call your nearest DMV

Call the DMV to find out I'm not sure about in Colorado but I had to make an appointment in Maine.

Yeah I would make an appointment at the DMV even if you don't "have" to, because the lines there are usually really long but if you have an appointment you get in MUCH faster.

    colorado…i dont know
in wisconsin…yes, you need an appointment
and last i checked there was a waiting list of about 3 months :(
you should call the dmv and ask
if the wait is to long, try a different dmv that you can get to
    hope i helped
    good luck!
