What is a good tip for the maneuverability part of a driver license test?

I’m about to take my drivers test (in Ohio) and I forgot how to do the part with the cones. My driving instructor told me something you do to know when to straighten the car up while in reverse. The tip had something to do with looking out a side mirror until you could see a cone. Does anybody know what it is specifically?

I have searched this out before and many Drivers Ed companies in Ohio will have the cones set up at their locations and you can try calling one and then practice taking the test for free.

You need to see the cone/cones by looking at the mirrors before turning.

Go to an empty parking area and setup the cones and practice. I don’t know the trick but hes was probably talking about using your passenger side mirror . and use the drivers side too so you don’t hit the curb.
