(that's one thing I know some people get busted for), or another is don't enter the bike lane to turn until there is a dotted line and make sure no one is in it shoulder check! But otherwise; I think one thing that does help is getting used to the area where you will be taking your drivers test. If it helps and you are determined, take an experienced driver with you and see where you may be doing your course. I was so nervous, so that's what I did. But it did help.
