Old people sometimes have slower reflexes and therefore can be dangerous drivers. I think that when someone turns maybe 65, they should have to take the driver's test again. That way, if they pass, no sweat. If they fail, then we're all safer with them off the road. What do you think?
Jackie: What's wrong with saying old people? That's what they are. It means the exact same thing as "elderly".
Its Donnie: Bwahahaha!!! That could work too… ![]()
Yevatron ~Believe!~: I know! That's a perfect example! (Not to mention kind of funny…)
tobias 123: I totally agree. Or they'll be behind me and think they have the car in reverse and almost hit me. Damn old people! (Oh, I'm sorry, I meant "elderly" people…)

I think it's a great idea! I don't they should have to pay for it though.
they have to yearly here in ontario canada,at 80
Yes because some of them can have mental illnesses and they can be in a car accident or their eyesight can get worse so they should retake their test once in a while
I agree 100%
Yes, I think thats a great idea. So many car accidents involve elderly people.
i think they should, some times I am frightened when I am in a car behind an elderly driver.
That actually is a really good idea. That should so be a law. Like when they hit 70. Someone tell the gov that.
dont you have to take a test every 2 to 10 years no matter what age to renew your licence? young people crash alot more than old 1s though
I completely agree, though old people is politically incorrect.
I agree.
I totally agree!!!
at least the behind the wheel part. but yeah sounds like a good idea.
yes they should..
I think they shold be tested every 2 years after 65 then every year after 75..
No offence the OAP's out there but they are alomost as bad if not worse as they young hoods racing about like madmen getting all road raged up..
…oohh dear now you got me started !!!! LOL
Yes they are so annoying driving on the streets.drive too slow and real reckless sometimes.
I think old people should be forced to complete a deadly assault course every 3 months riddled with stake pits, walls of fire and giant 3 headed mutant bears with laser eyes.
i think they should but so shouldn't some people that are driving on the road.
people that have neurological problems or seizures or anything that can effect their driving
and by the way someone up above most accidents are caused by drunk drivers or KIDS
and jackie is right look up the definition
"politically incorrect"
uh no
Depends on if they have reflexes of a 40 yr old but are 65…
i think you don't know statistics…younger newer drivers are the cause of all major accidents they are 10X more likely to have an accident on the road then any other group…including people over 65. you should be worried about people your age then people over 65
Yes – but not just because older people are, well, older. If you think about it, driving has changed so much since someone now in their 70s/80s originally received their license. Perhaps a mandatory class/test to make sure that EVERYONE is in the know regarding current drivings law and regulations wouldn't be such a bad idea.
YES THEY SHOULD!!!!!!
Yeah i agree
We got rear ended one day by an old lady who claimed she didnt know she was driving a car.
lol yes becuz they get in tons of car accidents if they don't
I don't know, I have mixed feelings on the subject and I don't feel like explaining :]
yes
No I dont think that they should have to do that good points.
Maybe… I do see them often driving all weird and it is a danger hazard definately!
Maybe 85. 65 middle age or will be soon.
ummmm yes they should people think teens are dangerous? almost every single close call iv had was because an elderly person slammed on there breaks to check out a yardsale or something.Or they didnt see me and puled out in front of me so yea i think you should one hundred percent
I agree on the yearly driver test but think the vision test should be given every six months. The main reason for accidents involving old people is they cannot see,
