Road Test Questions for New York State?

Ok, I got my New York State permit on June 15th of this year. I know you have to wait six months and drive 20 hours before you can go for your road test. It is now december so that is six months, I also drove over 20 hours already so I can schedule my road test right? I’m 17 if it matters. If it is a couple of days before december 15th ( which would be exactly six months from when I got my permit ) would that matter or can I still go?

I have my five hour course certificate. Do I also need the form for 20 hours of driving? What else should I bring?

Thank you in advance!

http://nysdmv.com/rtphone.htm will pretty much tell you all you need to know. You do have to make an appointment, and it can take several weeks before there is an opening to get you in. No, you can’t schedule any date before December 15, only that date or following.

As to what you need to bring, again it’s on the page, but I will will put it here too for reference:

•Bring your photo learner permit. If you have an interim or temporary learner permit without a photo, you must also show a NYS photo driver license or a NYS non-driver photo ID card. Photo documents from other states are not acceptable.
•Bring your pre-licensing course certificate (MV-278) or driver education certificate (MV-285).
•If you have a class DJ or MJ learner permit, you must bring form MV-262 (Certification of 20 Hours of Driving Experience). Form MV-262 is not required if you are 17 years of age and have an MV-285 (Student Certificate of Completion).
    IN ADDITION:

•If another driver drives the test vehicle to the test site, the driver must be age 18 or older and must have a driver license that is valid to operate the test vehicle. Remember that when you drive with a learner permit, the accompanying driver must be age 21 or older.
•Remember that you cannot drive in a road test area except when you take the road test.
•Confirm that the vehicle you bring for the test has a current registration and a valid inspection sticker.
•Confirm that the vehicle operates properly. Check the seat belts, headlights, doors and other equipment to confirm that they also operate properly.
