I'm taking my road test tommorow and I was going to use my mom's car but it broke. We were going to rent a car, but apperantly you can't use a rented car for the road test. Is that true?
My dad suggested borrowing his friends car, but his friend told us that you need to have the car insured in your name, not just my parents, but that i need to be on the car's insurance in order to use it for the road test. I'm not insured on anything.
Also, this test is being done in Ontario, if that matters.

i would call the motor vehicle dept in ontario and find out for sure..this way if you have to reschedule your test you wont be wasting time not being able to take the test tomorrow..good luck
How long is it going to take to fix your Mom's car? Maybe you can defer the test for a day or two depending on what needs to be done.
I live in the US but i used my sisters car,
you don't have to insure a driver here until they have a liscense.
the car wasn't even in my MOM's name, and she's the one who took me.
but who knows, maybe canada's tricky like that.
