I will be taking my drivers license test on Thursday, and I want to drive my moms car (Mazda 3) rather than my dads Honda Ridgeline. However, my Dad is going to be taking me to the DMV. We have to provide registration and insurance for the car, and I was wondering if the rightful owner needs to be there.
Basically my question is this:
Can I use my MOMS car if she wont be there, but my DAD will be?
I’m in FL so registration/insurance WILL be required.

they dont care who ownes it….they may ask for insurance card but ive taken 3 tests in 3 differnt states and never been asked for paperwork on car…last test a few years ago i borrowed the car,,owner wasnt there,,,

all you need is letter from mom allowing use of the car/vin numbers etc
yes you can use your moms car without her
