    yes

In Georgia they still do. Dont make parallel parking harder than it is. if you practice a few times you can do it easily.

    In California – YES!

Here's a technic to do it right. As much as possible, loosen up your seatbelt so us your body can lean backwards as you look at the rear and right side mirror alternately comfortably while doing a slow back up. Put your right arm behind the right seat. The DMV representative will surely look at how you check everything around so as not to hit anything. Don't forget your signal light before shifting the gear to reverse. Via the right side mirror, make sure your tires is within 12 inches distance from the pedestrian lane pavement. Don't park in front of driveway, or pavements marked red, and in blind corners.

I suppose it depends on where you are. When I took mine in Ohio (17 years ago) we did not do actual parallel parking (which is good, because to this day I still can't), but did have a 'maneuverability' portion of the test.

    YES….

CONTACT YOUR LOCAL DMV OFFICE, THEY WILL BE ABLE TO ANSWER ANY AND ALL OF YOUR QUESTIONS AND AT THE SAME TIME YOU WILL BE GETTING THE CORRECT ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION.

Only in those states that are so backwards that they still expect someone to be able to actually DRIVE A CAR… rather than just point it down the road and mash the gas peddal.

  8. Zach says:

In Michigan, yes, but there are some driving schools that are replacing parallel parking with being able to correctly drive through a roundabout (and in my area, a dual roundabout).

At last check, the Secretary of State no longer mandated parallel parking, but made backing into a parking space manditory.
