I am from PA but am going to school in OH. My car is registered in PA because that is my permanent residence. My friend is trying to get her OH license and asked if she could use my car to take the test. Are you able to take the test in a car registered in another state? I know you need to provide proof of insurance, but do you need to prove you are insured to drive that specific car?

Yes, you can take the driver’s test in a borrowed car as long as it has current insurance. Your friend has to have a registered address in Ohio to take the test there.
