NJ motorcycle road test?

I am soon to take the road test and I am a little bit unsure about one part. In the manual it says that I will have to weave trough the cones that are 12 feet apart and with a two foot offset. What does a 2 foot offset mean? Does it mean that you can't go more than 2 feet away from cones or that the cones are not straight?

It means that the cones are in a zig-zag pattern. If you had enough ground clearance, you could ride straight through them.

Have you thought about doing the safety course? They will let you practice the test a few times and then give you the test. It's a it of money but I've never heard of someone not passing (and I've had about 20+ friends and family do it that way)
