Need help with reinstating my CDL in Kansas…?

I had my Class A CDL suspended for an alcohol related offense. It was suspended for one year, and I recieved a letter from Kansas telling me that to reinstate it, I had to take the driver’s exam again and pay some fees at the DMV. I have a friend who had her regular DL suspended and she got the same thing. She said that she had to take the written test and upon passing was given her license back. She said that she didn’t have to do the actual road test, just the written. Is it the same for the CDL? My main concern is that I can’t get a truck to take the road test for a CDL exam. Does anyone know of personal experience with reinstating a CDL license, particularly in Kansas. Any help would be appreciated.

you are going to be hard pressed to find a job driving with that suspension on your record. You get in an accident, and the ambulance chaser the person hires sees that on your record, they will bankrupt your employer for hiring you in the first place.

Kansas requires you to take the driving test in the type of vehicle for which you are applying for a CDL. You will have to find a vehicle to drive.

The rules for CDL are much stricter. You need to contact the Kansas Department of Revenue for more information and they can advise you of the testing requirements.
