Is there a driving class i can take instead of taking a driving test at the DMV?

I heard about a driving class in PA that if i pass the class then i don’t have to take my drivers test. Is this real? If u know anything about these classes please let me know i am very curious.

I’m pretty sure they have driving classes that will mostly likely guarantee you that you’ll pass the test at the DMV>> They might cost money and even if you take the class you still have to take the DMV test so I suggest you look into taking them.

NOTE: They don’t completely guarantee you a license.

I don’t know about PA, but in MA, NH, and IL where I’ve lived, taking a driving class will help reduce your car insurance costs. Not only that, but it’s a good thing to start with because it will help to make you a better driver. So in the 3 states I have lived in, the DMV is the only way to get a license. Pass the test and you get a license. Maybe PA does things differently….off hand, I doubt it. Hope this helps.

No, there is no way to get a license other than taking the test and demonstrating your ability to drive following the law.

    See http://www.dmv.state.pa.us/teenDriversCenter/obtainingLearnersPermit.shtml

Driving classes teach you to drive, the test confirms you can.
