You just need to take a road test and if you are 18 you dont need to take drivers ed. You do need a permit i think.

    3 Point turns
    Backing up along a curb
    Parallel Parking

    Remember to signal :D
    Good Luck!

They are, however there are several different tests that they use. If there was only one test, all the high school kids would copy down the answers and pass them out at school to their friends.
You'll have to get your learner's permit first, and then have that for a number of weeks, and then you'll be allowed to take the physical driving test. When you pass that you will be issued a driver's license. Some states are different and they will either give you a full license, or they will give you one with some restrictions. good luck and Happy Birthday.
