I live in Kansas and want to take my written drivers test at the DMV to get a learners permit. If, you remember yours enough, please tell me, do I have to know( this is from the actuall handbook): IF YOU ARE INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT, FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY(about insurance and what to do if you sell or buy or reregister a car), IMPLIED CONSENT TO ALCOHAL TEST(what happens if you don’t consent, and penalties of DUI’s), SPEED IMPACT AND BRAKING DISTANCE, SHARING THE ROAD W/ LARGE TRUCKS/ MOTORCYCLES. If you will take time to possibly remember and help me, here is the actual handbook I live in Kansas and want to take my written drivers test at the DMV to get a learners permit. If, you remember yours enough, please tell me, do I have to know( this is from the actuall handbook): IF YOU ARE INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT, FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY(about insurance and what to do if you sell or buy or reregister a car), IMPLIED CONSENT TO ALCOHAL TEST. Really just tell me everything you rember on it.
The test is open book. They hand you a manual so that you can look the answers up. The test is multiple choice and the questions change for each test.
Relax. The hard part of getting you learner’s permit is the driving test. Make sure you stop fully – I MEAN COMPLETELY – at every stop sign. That means BEFORE the actual sign. If the front of your car goes past the stop sign the tester considers that running the sign. The first time I took the driving test we got about 2 blocks away and the tester told me to turn around because the car was still wiggling a little before I let off the brake to cross the intersection.
