I'm not sure what you are asking. You can expect them to ask you to do things which will demonstrate you are able to drive with some skill. If you mean will they say or do things to trick you into failing, no, why would they? You will be evaluated in your ability to check mirrors and blind spots, drive in your lane at the proper speed. turn, stop, parallel park, and back.
Tricks? Like trying to get you to turn the wrong way onto a one way street? Nooooo. We DMV examiners try to be as safe as we can. We don't want to set you up into dangerous situations. No examiners will try to trick you, but some can be intimidating. Me personally, I try to make the applicant as comfortable as possible. If you are intimidated and stressed out by the examiner, you are more likely to do something stupid, and end up getting into an accident. And nobody wants that. Too much paperwork!
You will have to show basic driving competency: smooth acceleration and deceleration, good turns, full stops at stop signs (behind the line), NO SPEEDING, awareness of other vehicles and pedestrians, being able to back up in a straight line along a curb, looking over the shoulder before lane changes, and lots of traffic checking (no parallel parking).
Good Luck!
