hell if i know. i would think you could just go take both written and driving tests. permits are for kids under the legal driving age.

Well, I don't know what state you live in, but in California you need to have your permit for at least two weeks before you can actually get your license.
you need to pass the test of a permit get that then u can try 4 ur liscense( i'm 13 and i know this)
It doesnt matter if your 18 or 80 you still have to get a permit first
