I just passed the road test in NYC~ I am 16 years old, currently almost done with Drivers Ed.

What can I do now with my license?

    Practically speaking, you have no driving privileges. Until you turn 17 with a blue card (or 18 otherwise), you only have a piece of ID to give cops so they can write you tickets.. Or a drink coaster.

    NYS law is particularly draconian when it comes to young drivers. And honestly, even when you do get your privileges, the insurance companies will murder you (or your parents) on their rates until you are in your 20s… A little less painful when you are 21.. normal rates when you turn 25..
