The first time I took it I was 16 and a horrible driver, the only pratice i had was the three lessons with the drivers ed teacher, i failed it because i turned left and went into the right lane, i was so nieve. When we got back to the dmv the examiner drew me a picture of what i did and what i was supposed to do. I said i was never going to do that again! I was so nervouse that when we were finished i parked uneven! lol The second time was last monday Im 17 and more experienced now since i got my own car and its small and i drive with my mom like everyday. I was still really jittery when I took it. The driving part of the test i did great execept i went over the speed limit which was 5 points but when i got to the manuevers i did my backing 100 ft part fine, my 3 point turn i dont think i backed up far enough so i ran off the pavement which was 5 points and when i pulled into my proper lane i didnt signal which was 5 points. when i did my parellel parking i didnt get close enough to the curb so she took points off of that too. so I exceeded over 30 points and failed, and she told my mom to bring me back in two weeks but im actually going again this afternoon instead and just not do the things that i did last time. I plan to just try,try again until i get my liscense beauase i want it bad and i really need it! but is there hope??? SHould i just stop, i feel like i am always going to exceed over 30 points…. HELP!

The driving test is easy. If you’re having trouble passing, then you really suck as a driver.
Practice should make you better with time , so if u fail today ,take a break and focus on doing all u need to get it….
Practice those things you have trouble with.
Quit second guessing yourself.
You obviously need more practice and on the things that you are required to do. This test is so you can demonstrate that you are proficient with performing these maneuvers correctly and safely and they ARE for your benefit.
So instead of being bull headed and going back only to try and make sure you dont screw up, take the week or 2 like the officer suggested and practice.
Practice, Prepare and do it RIGHT the first time or keep going back and HALF-ASSING it!!
Keep doing it the way you are doing it and eventually they will just give you the license out of pity.
Best of luck but with the mistakes you made last time, sounds like you still need more practice. Treat the speed limit as a limit for the test, drive five miles under if you want to be sure you don’t blow it. The other things all just come with practice. There isn’t any magic key to parallel parking and especially not to three point turns. It just takes practice to learn how to do them correctly. I’d get out from behind your computer screen and get behind the wheel for as much practice as you can squeeze in before the test, especially three point turns and parallel parking.
