I failed my driving test.?

My nerves are awful! I did the parallel parking and backing into a backing space which is what I was the most nervous about. But when I pulled out of the parking space I started to drive on the wrong side of the road! I know which side to drive on I was just so nervous I didn’t think! any suggestions on how to calm the nerves.

I failed my first driving test too, that was 25 years ago don’t give up, practice a little more and go do it again. Good Luck!

next time practice the parts you’re nervous on, a lot! I passed my first time, that was cause my evaluator was easy on me, but it also helped that I practiced with the stuff I felt nervouse about right up until the test (about 30 min before)

I failed my driving test!?

Hi.
I’m 16, and I failed my driving test a few days ago. I was completely devastated! I already scheduled my next appointment, and I’ll actually be 17 when I take it :D . But, anyway, I want to know what to do for an easy pass next time. The driving instructor was a (to put it lightly) pain in the rear, but they all seem to be. However, he gave me a receipt thing that gave me what I did wrong so I can improve next time. Apparently I rolled to a stop at the stop sign, I didn’t check my blind spot, I wasn’t consious of traffic hazards (I have no idea what that means), poor judgement of stopping at intersections, and when I change lanes I failed to observe and signal (which I KNOW I did).
But, regardless, I need to know that when I go next time I will pass!
The things that I was most worried about, I did perfect on, and the basic things I sucked at.

Help! What can I do so I can pass this thing and never have to worry about it again.
Thanks for taking the time to read this! :) .

    Practice more.

It’s just a test like any others. Practice, study, you pass.

    Get overconfident, and you fail.

    Not that complicated.

  2. micheleann62 says:

First get over being a victim.Stop with the defensiveness. People adopt that attitude when they are embarrassed. No reason to be embarrassed, lots of people don’t pass the first time. And PIA or not the instructor is saving you from future accidents.
Make a full stop meaning your tires must be still. Look in your mirrors before approaching traffic again. If there is a car coming in your designation lane, make a judgement based on safety before you approach. The traffic hazzards could be pedestrians crossing, a school bus loading and unloading kids, a flagger, a Semi that you can not see around, a dog in the street. Be aware of things that would possibly impeded your drivng. Be aware of your blind spot. If you are not sure then ask your teacher.
Your nervousness is one of the problems. Relax. Practice with an insured adult who is experienced and drives well.

The very first thing you need to do is get on answeres and cry. After that get in the car and practice. You done enough things wrong the examiner was right to fail you<

I failed my driving test…?

I failed my driving test because I didn't look in my blindspot while turning left. I live in NSW. Is this a fair? I cannot find it anywhere in the NSW Government Road Rules, can anybody else?

Ok so you failed, do it again. What you need to remember is a blind spot is dangerous and you need to check it. So next time you will pass. Better to be alive than not.

  2. Troll Hunter says:

    HA HA

  3. IDNSFG818 says:

Totally fair. If you did not look in the blind sport you could have hit someone and injured them. That is bad driving. Take your test again and when you finally pass remember everything you have be taught so you NEVER cause an accident.

AND if you have a cell phone do not talk on it whilst driving!!!!

  4. jambojimmy says:

its natural…girls , esp the ones at ur age usually fail the test for first time…fair or unfair…the fact is U HAVE FAILED THE TEST so..forget about it..and do it again! thats it!

  5. James M says:

You have me on this one – Blind Spot on a Left Turn?????? Unless you were turning from the outside lane (roundabout) it does not make sense. Maybe I should explain for some – the inside lane is the lane closest to the kerb – the outside lane is the one closets to the centre of the road – have never been able to figure that out.

I think you just have to look at it this way that the Examiners I feel just fail you because it's you first go.

Don't get upset about it, you can do it again in two weeks and I'm sure you will sail through it.

I know of one woman who has now tried her driving test 158 times – failed each one. She is 92 – there is hope.

  6. Roger says:

i live in san diego ca and out here not checking your blind spot is an automatic fail, not checking blind spots leads to so many accidents its crazy

  7. Stephanie Loves Sam says:

It's completely fair. You didn't look in your blindspot. ALWAYS check your blindspots before you do anything else. Honestly don't feel bad about failing your driver's test. I passed my first time but honestly I don't feel like I should have. I made a few mistakes and it was kind of weird that I passed.

But at least you didn't do this. A friend of mine took his test a few days ago and he did the parallel parking portion right, and when he went to pull out, he forgot to put the car in drive and he let his foot off the brake and backed up about a foot and hit the cone. Automatic fail but he had to do the entire test.

Honestly don't feel bad. Just don't make the mistake again and you'll be ok.

    Answer to troll hunter….

im sorry but trying to take a jibe at someone failing their driving test is sad, but you spelt 'loser' wrong..

now im not the sharpest knife in the drawer but EPIC FAIL!

    go back to school 'loser'….

anyways, unlucky on the fail. just try ya hand at it again and im sure you'll pass perfectly! (i failed my motorcycle test first time and was gutted!) just take the advice of your instructor and really go at it!

    all the best. :)

i failed my driving test?

I failed my behind the wheel test five times. I think i'm a competent driver considering the fact that i've been driving for months without a license. people say i'm a good driver, yet, i'm still failing these tests. what's wrong with me? what should i do to pass this test

  1. Ian B says:

Well, sometimes what happens when people go for their tests and they know they are confident and competent is that he or she will be so confident that he or she might overlook something. For example, you might not usually stop fully at a stop sign because you've looked both ways and know nothing is coming. If you do that during your driver's test you'll get points taken off and you might not even know it until the driving section is done. You may also be a good driver with your friends but once an adult or person of authority gets in you might become overcautious and maybe drive too slow or be hesitant. This can also be dangerous. The thing to do is just relax and try to remember what you have to do. If a stop sign is coming remember to look both ways for traffic before you go and to not stop on the crosswalks. Just simple things like that could help you to pass. There is nothing wrong with you though, I know a couple of people who have taken way more than 5 times to get their license so cheer up! You never know, you might pass your next test just from knowing what you did wrong the other times.

  2. meinsla says:

I share what you are going through. I just got my license last saturday at the age of 21 after failing who knows how many times. Every time I failed was extremely discouraging. I nearly hated myself for it. Hated the fact I was so behind everyone else. I'm sorry, I know how it feels.

Go slow, take your time. Say things out loud to yourself. I did. Say "Stop sign ahead" or "Speed limit 45" to make things easier – it may sound weird but it helped me, and they can't fail you for that!

Take your time. If backing out of a parking spot, go slow. Ungodly slow if you have to. Do everything slow. Worst case scenario, they might deduct a few points, but they won't fail you.

Focus your attention to the road, pay no mind to the driving instructor, you're not trying to impress him/her, you're just trying to pass.

Good luck, I hope you get your license soon.

By the way, what state are you in?
