I’ve taken the Maryland driving test in Elkton multiple times now and I still can’t pass the parallel parking portion. Can anyone help or explain how to pass it? (I’ve been told that my tires have to touch the white line next to the curb and I’ve also been told that I can be at least six inches away from the curb.) Help please!

Here is how I taught man how to parallel park. I parked the car in between cones representing two cars. One step at a time I had him pull out. After he backed up slightly I had him get out and look. Next he turned the wheel hard left. Again, out of the car to look. Then he pulled forward until he was ready to turn the wheel. Again out of the car. We continued this until the car was in the "road" ready to drive away.
Then he repeated these steps backwards. At every point he was out of the car looking. We broke this down to individual steps. He must have parked about 30 times. Pull out of the space, circle round, parallel park into the space. By the way, at first I directed him to adjust the mirror to look down slightly to see the "car" and the curb.
Must have worked, he passed the test first time.
