    You have to get as close to the curb as possible without hitting the other cars. On the test they usually use cones to represent the other cars.

    It depends on where you are from but usually hitting a curb is 2-point, hitting a cone or car is failure, parking to far from the curb is 3-points, not using your turn signals or looking behind you as well as not using your mirrors is 5-points, since this is considered one of the hardest test by young people you can rack up enough negative points to fail the whole test on just parallel parking.
