    Simple enough:

    a= v- v0 /t
    a= 26.8 m/s – 0 m/s / 3.275s
    a= +8.18 m/s/s

    It is positive because verlocity is increasing

    In terms of mph

    a=v – v0 /t
    a=60 mi/hr – 0 mi/hr / .0009097 hr
    a=65956 mi/hr/hr
