for those that have taken the florida driving road test. any pointers feel free to add them?
Answer:
Well depends where you take the driving test in Florida.
In mines she told me to turn on the car, put my left blinker then my right blinker, and Honk the horn. Next, she got in said “Let’s start, safety first.” So I put on my seatbelt and backed out and drove to the course. I passed one try.
Here are my pointers.
1. Relax, if you’re nervous you won’t be able to think clearly and grip the steering wheel firmly or possibly to rigidly grip it, thus making your shoulders tense.
2. Signal on EVERY turn. Trust me they will take off points for every thing you don’t do.
3. When you reach a stop sign, stop slowly not abruptly, right before the white line to a complete stop. Wait 5 seconds then go.
4. On your 3-point turns, always look before you back up and be looking behind you are. Always shift to the right gear before anything else and you should be fine.
5. He/She will probably stop you in a straight line and tell you to go in reverse. So do this. Align your steering while completely straight, then put your left hand lightly on the wheel, and try not to move it, that’s why I’m saying lightly put it on. At the same time, put your right hand on the passenger’s seat and look behind in the rear window and lightly push the gas pedal you’ll be fine.
6. The part where most people fail is parking. IT IS SO EASY THOUGH. Using this technique you won’t fail. Align the middle of your sides’ window or the other side of the cars window (depends which way your going to park, the left or the right) then turn the steering wheel all the way into that direction. Let go of the brake pedal and let the car slowly turn in to the space between the cones (IF YOU TIP ONE OR KNOCK ONE DOWN, YOU FAIL!) sucks right? Well as your turning into the space slowly guide the wheel back to help you straighten out OR if your already perfectly straight in to the space from the previous turn where you turned the wheel all the way, just turn the wheel the opposite way two times and your straight. It really helps that you know the car you’re driving for the test.
7. Lastly, the Test person MIGHT ask you to accelerate to about 20-25 MPH and then break to a stop without skidding or screeching. This is called emergency braking. VERY EASY, THE EASIEST PART BASICALLY!
There, it’s a lot of info to read but I feel it’s for the best lol.
- I have taken road tests all over the world and they are all pretty much the same. When you approach the vehicle make sure that you are checking the vehicle for and external damage or flat tires he will notice whether you do this or not, make darn sure that as soon as you sit behind the wheel that you put on your seat belt, and if he doesn’t pretty darn fast tell him to. Make sure to check the review mirrors, and adjust if needed. before you pull out make sure that there is nothing coming from behind and signal your intention, he will be watching for this. If you are required to back up don’t use the mirrors but turn as best as you can in the seat and look over your shoulder and proceed very carefully. and before you pull away make sure to look over your left hand shoulder and signal your intention. Do not play the radio. don’t be chewing gum. every few seconds you will check the rearview mirrors for any situation that might be developing behind you. If he tell you make the next left hand turn make sure to use your signal and be in the proper lane for turning. any time that you make a lane change be sure to use the signal. Remember that if you come to a 4 way stop that who ever was there first has the right of way but if you both arrive there at the same time then who ever is on the right has the right of way. Don’t break the speed limit. Good luck, I got my driving license 3 weeks after I turned 16 years old.

My friend took the permit test last year and said that online you only get like 50 seconds to answer each question. He also said that if you take the permit test at the DMV, you aren’t timed. I studied the manual and i’ve taken the practice test 7 times, Read the driving book and take it yourself…never listen to what other say because one might find things hard when it is easy for you and there are different versions of the test so just study the materials and if you fail you can always retake it…it’s not the end of your life…How many people before you have already taken the test and pass? So I think it can’t be that hard….
