(im in englkand if that maters as us exams may be different)
Ok so i did the turn in the road, all the signalling and checks were fine and i did it ok up to a point, i pulled over and went right, reversed left, then when i went to go right againh the car jerked forward for 1 metre, i regained control instantly and then proceeded on with the turn and then drove off as instructed.
i did not hit a curb, a car, a person, a lampost or anything, i did not stall, i did not panic or endanger anyone and the car didnt speed away, just jerked a little. Yet instead of a minor for control i recieved a serious major and hence failed.
now surely that is unfair and should be a minor for control at most?
p.s the driving for all the other parts of the test was bsafe and fine
no it was in first, and ethslan i KNEW there was nothing infront of me, i had the width of the road and wouldnt have attempted to move if a car or person was infront of me.

haha aso unfairr ….i took mine last week and i hit a cone, and started over 3 times,,and on the road i was driveing in the middle of the street and i fogot to stop behind a bus and i passed my lady i had was so nice
Urm… did you accidentally put it in something else other than first? I did on my prelesson and my instructor told me I'd fail if I did that. If there was any traffic around you could have got majored for obstruction of traffic? Or if you'd done that mistake too many times already?
You should have been able to get a run down of the examiner. He should have told you why at the end. Don't worry about it though. Stuff like this happens sometimes.
The reason why u did not hit someone was because noone was one metre in front of the car when it jerked forward. If someone was half metre away, the person could have been killed. Suppose there was a curb with a wall beyond the curb, and someone was standing or walking on the curb. The car could've crushed the person against the wall.
You see, you were not failed for what didnt happen, you were failed for what could have happened. For that one instant, your car was out of your control and could've killed someone. That is major. Just becuz someone was not there doesnt mean that in another situation someone may not be. That may be how the examiner was looking at the situation.
You got the raw end of the deal on this one and you should of passed the test………….
