driving test in randolph, NJ….WTF??!?

I just failed my driving test that was in randolph, New Jersey…The whole track was just a huge mess and it was very confusing to me…it was partly closed, like in a parking lot with a bunch of cones like everywhere and things that looked like yellow lines but in fact were only arrows, so i didn’t drive over them but i guess i should have??

i can parallel park fine, but when i tried to do it between the cones, it just didn’t work out…you usually drive up to the three cones until they line up with the side window right?? which is what i did…but i guess i was too far away because it went realllly badly :(

then i didn’t back up straight apparently…but what is straight??? i backed up straight..but at an angle they said, but how am i supposed to know which way to back up?

were the white lines on the ground confusing to anyone who took their driving test in randolph..>? cause there were just lines everywhere so i couldn’t tell which ones to drive in between…

ugh this is annoying i’m so miffed right now…

you must be around 16yo and I can relate but the tests are there to make sure you can handle different situations. You need to study what all they are going to test you on and get a parent to drive with you to get more experience before you test again. I failed twice before I got it right.

I didn’t take it at that testing center and I’m in my 20s but I’m ticked too. I didn’t have issues with any lines on my test but the parking really ticked me off. I can park without a problem but I couldn’t see the cones in my mirrors cause they are much lower to the ground then a car and asa result, I hit one. I am so ticked. That does not relate to how it really is when you park and it is not fair. I failed because they used cones that you can’t see in the mirror.
