Driving permit expires + behind-the-wheel test (lots of questions)?

My permit is about to expire, but I still have a decent amount of time left. I am ready to take the behind-the-wheel test, except my mom is worried that I cant go and take the test because of our car. My moms car has a broken drivers-side door that cant be opened and some of the windows don't roll up/down. This is my only set-back though, is there a way to still get my full license with such a car? Would I have to wait until we get a better car which might take years? Would I have to re-take the written test when my permit expires? Sorry for so many questions but this problem is killing me x-x Im already 17
I live in South Carolina.

  1. Dr. J says:

What state do you live in? Can you borrow a friends car? Grandparents or neighbor's car? Renew your permit before it expires. That will buy you more time. Ask your Examiner about your car's issues. I would test you as long as my door opens.
