Stay Calm. Try to relax. Make sure you are rested. Have a good breakfast. Go to the rest-room before hand. Have your paper work with you, glasses if you need them. Sun glasses if needed.
When you get into the car – properly adjust your seat, steering wheel , put on your seat belt, adjust your mirrors – rear view and side mirrors.
When you are going to pull out of a parking spot – always put your turning blinker on – then actually turn your head and look around and in back of the car ( besides looking in the mirrors ) before you actually move the car out of the parking spot.
When driving, always keep a decent amount of space between you and the car in front of you.
At a Stop sign, Red light, rail road tracks – always – come to full and complete stop- before you look and proceed as allowed.
When ever you are changing lanes or making a turn – always put your turning blinker on – then turn your head and look around -make sure the way is clear – before you actually move the car from the lane you are in / or turn.
Maintain the speed limit . If other people are going faster – just keep to the right side of the road.
Pedestrians always have the right of way- wait and let them go.
    Good luck.

    Don't crash.

  2. Gravy B says:

take a deep breath and relax the testers are used to having nervous people taking the tes

pretend they are not there and put the test out of your mind

  3. FEMMALABUSH says:

you are driving, or written test.
as for driving, just fake like your instructor isnt there and it mom or dad sitting there and they told you that if you a pass you get a new car.
and relax, if you fail you can always take again!and ALWAYS drive like a littleold lady rather than a hopped up teen, it helps to be slower and more cautious than all fast and zippy.
like if you come to a stop and there is cross traffic, take your time before moving the vehicle, trust me they would rather you make everyone behind you wait a bit longer than you jumping out into the intersection.
hope this helps and good luck!

  4. jzimmerman56301 says:

I know this is a hard thing to do, but don't be nervous. Just make sure to look both ways at all intersections, check your mirrors, stop for red lights, go for greens, don't speed, yield to the right away of another driver, be aware of your surroundings, and don't hit the flags while parking!

  5. brndnlee says:

Focus on slow deep breaths and don't be afraid to take your time and look around cautiously. Remember it is not a race, so take your time and do it as best as you can. Avoid caffeinated drinks. Or did this get to you too late?

  6. LoraBelle says:

Well the biggest thing is to NOT panic! Just stay calm and have fun while you're doing it. Not too much though lol! What helped me was when my dad took me to my test, we listened to our favorite songs on the way and sang out lound and made fun of each other and I was so much more relaxed! Tips for during the test would be things like
*Don't stop SUDDEN! Just slow down and slowy stop. You don't want to screech to a hault.
*When they say take a left (or right) think for a second. I know that I got nervous and tuned right when she said left. Dont get so nervous that u turn retarded!
*Don't go too fast (obviously) but don't go too slow either! I was trying so hard not to speed that I was going way under the speed limit and thats bad too!

Hope these help! Good luck! You will do great!

got a good one for ya…

Talk as you do your driving exam… TELL the examiner exactly what you are seeing… if you see a stopsign 1/2 block ahead.. tell him … stopsign commin up… slowing down. Or if your watching between parked cars for kids playing, tell him. Constantly use your eyes to scan the scene around you and tell him what your seeing… look at your gages, then up ahead near.. then up ahead far, the check mirrors… and start over again.. gages near far mirrors… and keep yakkin about what you see. READ signs to him so he knows you see them. Use your blinkers, thats what they are there for. Come to a complete stop at stopsigns, red stoplights. Yield when it says yield, dont just slow down… oh… and dont forget to breathe once in a while…. have fun!

  3. Helen-Hien T says:

    3) bike
    4) sunset lightening
    5) school, city limit zone

Just read the book and u will do great!

  4. Scotty says:

There's not much we can help you with, there, other than to say: Read the manual! and practice!

  5. silencetheevil8 says:

Take your time and use common sense, most of the question are about the law but the laws are based on rules that extend common curtesy for exampel there is a question about wether or not a motorcycle gets its own lane, now think if you were in a motorcycle and someone was in yoru lane right next to you in a huge SUV would you be comfortable, of coarse not. Don't sweat the test its really not that hard pay more attention to the stuff thats actually hard such as parrallel parking.

  6. hippiechick says:

If you read the whole entire Rules of the Road book from cover to cover, over and over again until you are sick of it, you shouldn't have any problem taking the written test.

  7. PolePopper says:

    what are your questions?
actually, if you think about driving and "common courtesy", and common sense, you may find that you have tackled a huge majority of the answers.

Try this: The DMV How to guide.

i just got my drivers license a few months ago and i was scared o wouldnt pass the test, too.

as long as you stay as calm and relaxed as you can before and during the driving test.

knowyour street signs and what they mean.

watch your signals, street lights and on of the most important things around here, your speed!!!

be very careful of your speed limits and YOUR speed while driving. try to always stay about 2 mph under the speed limit while taking the test.

i wish you the best of luck and hope you do well!!!!

just stay relaxed and you should do fine!!

    good luck!

Well I'm not exactly sure of the differences between the test in Missouri and the one in California but I could tell you a few things I had to do in general. Here, when stopping at a light, make sure you look in your rear view mirror. When starting after stopping at the light, look left, right, then left again. When turning right at any time be sure to look over your right shoulder, not like out the back of the car, but like out the back, right passenger's window type area. They pay a lot of attention to make sure you are checking your blind spot when you turn. I got marked down quite a bit on that because I forgot to. Of course, don't speed or go too slow.

Umm that's not a lot but that's all I can think of other than go to a DMV and get a driver's handbook. Or I'm not sure if they give you a thing that shows what they check during your driving test, but if you can get one of those, do. Maybe your friend still has her's (again I don't know if they do that in Missouri too but maybe) and if you could get your hands on one of those, just practice doing every little thing on that list. Hope I helped

Here are the right steps to obtaining a driver's license, and believe me, if followed accurately, you'll be steeping out of the car with a drivers license ( i dont mean that literally, you have to go to the DMV and all) anyway :
    1. Step into the car
    2. Fix your seat, one hand on the steering wheel to pull yourself forward or push backwards, and the other obviously on the lever under the seat if it is an older car. Newer cars can be adjusted with an electronic knob on the side.
    3. Put on your seatbelt
    4. Adjust your mirrors, side and rear view.
    5. Start the engine if it is not already started.
    6. With your foot on the brake, Shift the gear and than deactivate the E-brake.
    7. Back out of the parking slowly and steer according to the angle of parking (45 or 90), i'm sure you know how to back out of a parking. (Use indicators while backing out)
    8. Shift back into D.
    9. Move ahead slowly. Step on the gas lightly and accelerate once your on the road after checking for cars left and right.
    10. One very important step is to keep cheking your side and rear mirrors every 6 seconds and move your neck in order to show the instructor your "effort" and make him notice.
    11. Stop for just a second completely, at a stop sign even if there are no vehicles approaching.
    12. To change lanes check your mirrors (which you should be doing anyway) and flick the indicator on, and with a slight steer move into the lane, remember not to change lanes in one swift steer.
    13. Keep a look out for the signs all around you, and do not overtake if prohibited.
    14. At a junction, look all sides.
    15. Just stay calm and drive with confidence.
    16. Remember, just because someone else is breaking a rule you dont have to do the same, you can do all you want ONCE you get your license.

I assume you passed the written test?I grew up in Rolla Mo. and was also a police officer there. The best advice I can give you is to calm your nerves, and pretend the examiner is not there, and what ever you do,don't talk to him/her.These people are not out to fail you.You know the laws,so follow them, and do a little practicing before the test.If you apply the rules of the written test to the driving part, you should not have any problems. The examiner wants you to pass.Just be cool, and don't think of the ones you failed.Concentrate on the one you are taking.Hey,you will do great, just be cool.
