Drivers test help. Need advice on me driving with both feet.?

I heard from friends that it is an automatic fail if you drive with two feet. Is this true? I learned driving that way because my mom drives like that. She says that they dont check your feet. Can someone give me advice? How can i learn to drive from using two feet, to using one foot? I tend to get nervous when i try because i feel im not quick enough =[

I don’t think so…….. as for trying to drive with 1 foot, try to keep your right foot close to the break while driving and rest your left foot far from the break. You will get used to and feel more comfortable overtime. Just be confident, as long as you are paying attention, you can hit the break with your right foot before anything happens.

Driving with two feet is very dangerous, and I’m not sure where you live but where I live, yes this is an automatic fail because it is a) illegal and b) very, very dangerous.

The problem isn’t reaction time, the problem with driving with both feet is that inevitably, your one foot will rest on the brake peddle at one point. Your brake lights go on. The people behind you THINK that you’re stopping, and so they brake… When actually you’re just driving with both feet. This can cause accidents behind you, hence why most drivers are very, very annoyed by two foot drivers.

It can also cause you to lose control because of the stomping reflex. You get scared, your reflex is to stomp your feet down to stop you – if your feet are on the brake AND the gas, it can be a big problem – but if your foot is ONLY on the brake, its not an issue – you come to a stop.

Try driving with your left knee up – your left foot pulled closer to you. That is how I drive and while it isn’t recommended because of balance issues, but its better than driving with two feet and it will give you the feeling that if anything happens, you’ll be able to move your feet faster than if your foot was down beside the pedal.

    Good luck!
