relax and dont speed
Fully stop at stop signs and look out for kids cause i almost got in trouble for not looking out for kids
i passed my test 5 months agao first time i would say stay calm and take calms tablets to help you also i found it easy taking my instructor in the car with me that way the examiner couldnt try to fai me for stupid things an lasty i always made conversation with the examiner and that helped as he felt just as comfy in the car as me.
Using the rear view mirror, you have to make it obvious to your examiner..I know when you do it normally you only move your eyes but when on test you must move your head so the examiner sees it…………..
I didn’t make any mistakes on mine because I asked the same questions you are asking. It depends on what state you live in. Some states require you to parallel park others do not. What you need to do is ask someone who has taken the test recently in your area what is expected on it. It will very depending on where you take it. For example where I took it they will mark you off for not stopping at railroad tracks. However that is not even a rule of the road unless you are a schoolbus or you are transporting flammable goods, neither of which I was doing at the time.
Practice a lot until driving feels like second nature, that way you’ll have nothing to be nervous about. Be pleasant and confident with the person who gives you the test, and thank them for their time.
Don’t stop at a railroad track like that other guy said, you will get points against you for doing that.
You have to follow the rules of the road by every word. If you come to a stop sign, you have to stop. You can’t come to a crawl of 1 mph, that isn’t a stop. Also if turning right on a red light, you have to stop before the line first, then go if its clear. If you can’t see, you could inch up a little as long as your not blocking traffic.
The mistakes I made were incorrect steering and driving too slow in a parking lot. I got two points for incorrect steering because there was a certain turn where i accidentaly held the steering wheel wrong. Also at the beggining of my test i was driving kinda slow in the parking lot, because there were some blind areas where i couldn’t see if someone was comming but oh well i passed anyways. I only got 4 points and you need 30 to fail.
Also most importantly, relax. Good drivers fail because of nerves. When i took my test, i just told me self to imagine that i’m giving a friend a ride to their house, and they’re just giving me directions to their house and I have to follow them. Because it almost really is like that. Turn here, turn there.
One more thing, you should drive around the area of your test center so you can get more familliar with the area.
Buckle up, go the speed limit, use your signals, be able to parallel park and/or park on a hill turning your tires the correct direction.
I practiced in an empty parking lot at night
Drive slow, master your parallel parking.
