Do they check your vision on the road test?

Are you told to read a license plate or something on the road test?

If so, what distance?

    Yes, they do. It's really close, they have you look thru some kind of gaget that looks like a microscope and read the letters below. If you wear glasses or contacts, you need to be wearing them for that test and they'll note that as an endorsement on your license

    BTW, if you fail the test due to poor site, you can have your vision corrected and go back for restesting
