I live in Los Angeles, CA where can i go to rent a car and take the DMV test with it? what do i need to bring? Locations and numbers are really helpful and i also want it cheap please

I’d have to say no, you can’t do that–the DMV page says you can use a rental car IF you’re the named insured on the rental contract, but without a license, you can’t rent a car! Sort of a catch-22 situation, but I’d say you’re out of luck.

"David" is correct. In addition rental car companies won’t rent a car if they know it is to be used for a DMV drive test. Before the test begins the examiner inspects the car to see if it is street legal (the requirements are on pages 11 & 12 of the Driver Handbook) and rental companies don’t want to run the risk of the car being put out of service.
