You BETTER look at your mirrors when you parallel park………..that’s what they’re for!!
Yes, you can and should use whatever equipment your vehicle has for the test. If I could make a small suggestion….stick a small, convex mirror (Or fish eye mirror) in the lower corner of your side mirrors. If you want a better view of a curb, a small, convex mirror helps.
