I live in New York. According the rules and regulations I cant get my license until I’ve had my permit for 6 months. I’m just wondering If I can schedule a test before I’m eligible to take it, as long as the date I schedule is after the eligibility time? Here is the deal, My eligibility date is the 18th of July. Can I schedule a test day today for the 21st of July? I hope this makes sense? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Oh, Further information, I have taken and completed the driver education course and have the MV-285 form, if that matters.

yes….u almost always need to schedule it b4 date its due comes up…..so yes go ahead and schedule it…
** also in some cases u can even go ahead and take test but won’t b able to get license until after date……so u would just go to dmv and get license since u had already taken test….
