I need to go to San Pedro DMV offfice, or Torrance. I need to know whether you can take a test to get your provisional license/permit when you odn’t have an appointment.
for written test, you don’t need an appointment. For driving test, you do…or you’ll be waiting all day.
you can take all tests at the dmv without an appointment but driving tests etc. will need an appointment
I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM BUT MIGHT WANT TO CALL THEM I DONT BELIEVE ANY OF US KNOW WHICH DMV YOU ARE GOING TO.

Yes, you can go in with out an appointment to take the written test, You will just have to stand in line for hours to get to the window. Make an appointment. You can do it on line (dmv.ca.gov), and it will save SO much time. Don’t you have better things to do.
PS: When you do get to the window smile and be polite. Your experience will be much better if you do.
