So, I’ve taken the test twice and failed both times, and when the guy gave my second test back he said “alright, you only have one more chance to pass, so study hard and good luck next time”
What happens if you fail the test 3 times? Can you just not take it after that or what?
i think you have to wait 6 months, after the 3rd fail.
I’m from Missouri and you can take the permit test twice a day and take it as many times as possible.
You have three chances to pass the test. If you fail the third time, you have to restart the process, by doing the following:
You must make an appointment with your closest DMV office. You will have fill out a new DL 44 form: pay the application fee again, provide your parents’ or guardians signatures again, provide your social security number again, provide your thumbprint again, have your picture taken again and provide all the necessary particulars with regard to your full legal name. You will have to take the test again and pass the traffic laws and sign test (you must have 39 questions right out of the 46 questions asked). I would suggest that you review and read the manual and try your hardest to remember the traffic laws/sign test. If you have done it in person and failed, you may want to change it up and do the next test online. If you keep studying and studying you will end up remembering the information. There are several; until you can pass them – don’t go the DMV
2. Studied from some friends’ tests? Ask around – there are about 6 different tests.
3. Read the DMV handbook (cover to cover) or at least skimmed all the content? This is the most overlooked study method!
With each application, you are given three opportunities to pass the test.
