Ive been driving for just about a year, have well over 20 hours of driving under my belt and I am taking my road test this Monday. I am a little nervous. I am very cautious when driving and I always look around constantly. Is there any other tips that will help me pass my road test (this is the first road test I am taking)
Tomorrow I’m taking my road test in New York. Does anyone have any tips on how to pass. I think I can do everything well except maybe parallel parking. I could use some tips on that. Also, the website wasn’t very clear about how much the test costs. It said something about $10 but it was talking about people who have taken it before and failed. I have never taken it before.
I don’t know about the city but upstate I belive the road test is covered in the cost of the pemit(the 10 bucks may be to retake the test)
The only advice I can give is A)stop AT the stop sign,then creep to where you can see and stop AGAIN,B)check your mirrors.C)don’t be nervous(if you practiced then you’ll do fine)
1. Stay calm and relaxed
Don’t get too nervous! One important thing that the person judging you whether you can get your license is to watch if you’re calm behind the wheel.
2. Practice
Practice, practice, practice. Practice makes perfect right?

before leaving the parking lot make a complete stop and look both ways most people fale there test right way cus they can see both ways before leaving the parking lot so the ydon't make the stop….and slow down to about 12mile a hour once u get in a area where there are houses
Here is a tip: make an appointment that avoids rush hour traffic.
9:00 am – 11:00 am would be the least congest time during the day.
Remember, the more cars on the road, the more nervous you will get.
